We just received the new SS12 collection: lots of play on materials, shapes and colors. Again, Feiyue smartly uses its retro roots and works it into a collection that offers a selection ranging seamlessly from vintage looks to casual to preppy to street. Everything sneakers should be about! Two collaborations this season: with the Hansen Family and with Agnes B.

We're happy to welcome Feiyue at JA-MH! Originating in Shanghai in the 1920's, Feiyue quickly became the "people shoe of China". Thanks to its lightness, flexibility and very simple design, the canvas sneaker seduced workers, school kids and martial art athletes alike. It would be decades before the brand started to fade away. That's when (2006) a Frenchman, obsessed with the shoe, decided to take over, re-design and re-brand. The decidedly retro style was kept, styles and materials were added to the line. Success was immediate in France and in Europe were the shoes are present at over 1000 points of sales. Feiyue landed in the USA earlier this year, and has already been warmly welcome!
In Chinese, Feiyue means "flying forward"...

At Rendez-Vous Femmes in Paris last week, we worked hard, met great buyers, ate well, had an amazing time with talented designers: Alice Ritter, Barbara Briones, Joomi Lim, Xavier Ricolfi, Mathieu Schreyer and Marie Saeki. The cherry on the cake: there was not a single cloud in the Parisian skies for a full week! And with skylights like these, it was a truly enjoyable experience.

Porter is back working with JA-MH! We were the ones who introduced the iconic Japanese brand to the USA in 2008. We did not have the chance to represent Porter for a full year, but now we do and we will work directly with the company in Japan.

Barbara B chose JA-MH to introduce the hand-made brand to wholesale around the world starting with the SS11. Chilean Barbara Briones produces beautiful designs that mix traditional craftsmanship with a decidedly contemporary edge. She has worked with Ferragamo and Mulberry before starting on her own.
